In the wake of cetaceans

Connect with the rhythm of the waves and the lagoon.

Tickets

In the early morning, when nature awakens, board our va'a (traditional canoe) and learn to sail like us. You will paddle towards the pass, where the lagoon meets the ocean, accompanied by one of the naturalist guides from Océania, a local nonprofit dedicated to the protection of Polynesia's marine megafauna. During this immersion, majestic landscapes pass by and the marine fauna reveals itself to you. With a little luck, you will see a school of dolphins* or even a humpback whale.

*Cetaceans are animals that live in very large spaces. These are wild animals, so we cannot guarantee their presence on every outing. This is why the tour that we offer you will make you discover cetaceans, if nature allows us, as well as our marine biodiversity.

Discover cetaceans and marine biology with a passionate and fervent defender of these protected species.

Experience this magical immersion in Moorea's lagoon.

Connect with the rhythm of the waves and the lagoon.

Ahuura

Navigating the traditional canoe runs in Ahuura and her family's DNA. Fervent navigators, they connect with the stars, their ancestors and the ocean every day.

Toanui

Toanui is a key member of the Oceania nonprofit. He joined through the ARURU program in 2018 where he trained young people from low-income neighborhoods. Since 2018, he has been taking part in the Vigie Sanctuaire program (anti-collision program) as a Marine Mammal Observer on board ships, and it is with pride that the nonprofit has appointed him coordinator of this program since 2023.

  • You will receive a GPS pinpoint of your meeting location for this immersion. We recommend arriving by car or taxi. If getting picked up by taxi, you can have them pick you up at the same location.
